What's up guys!! Revminister here!! And welcome to the world of mean machines
Ducati India is all set to capture the Indian superbike market by introducing some extremely fun bikes at very affordable prices! And as a result, Ducati India recently launched its baby sports tourer in India. Yes! I am talking about the Ducati Supersport!
The Supersport will be available in two variants i.e the standard variant and the S trim variant.
Comming to the looks of these bikes, they look absolutely stunning. The single sided swingarm will make you drool over it. The sharp headlights will make sure that you won't take it for granted! Well, I think I'll let the bike do talking!!!
As of now the bike is only available in Ducati red colour, but Ducati say's that they will introduce the Star White Silk in November. To be honest, I personally like the white colour!
Enough of the looks, now lets see what is inside that sharp and sexy body! The Ducati SuperSport gets a new steel trellis frame but the engine is sourced from the Multistrada 950, the 937 cc L-twin makes over 110 bhp of power and 93 Nm of peak torque. In the electronics suite, the SuperSport gets ride-by-wire with three riding modes - Urban, Sport and Touring.
Urban mode restricts power to 75 bhp for city use, while Sport and Touring provide the full range with different throttle response.
The standard variant gets the Marzoochi forks and Sacs monoshock while the S variant gets race-spec Ohlins suspension and a bi-directional Ducati Quickshifter as standard.
Now comming to the best part about these bikes, the price! Both the bikes are priced quite competitively with a mouth watering price tag of just 12.08 lacs for the standard variant and 13.39 lacs for the S variant!
Verdict :-
The Ducati SuperSport will sit just below the 959 Panigale, and is designed as an everyday street bike, with capability to take on the track as well. So, ergonomics are slightly different, with a more comfortable riding position than the Panigale. While the Panigale is more track focussed with aggressive riding position and performance, the Ducati SuperSport is positioned more as a do-it-all sort of bike, to use everyday within the city, track days and even the occasional long distance tour.
